Wedding Venues Near Philadelphia I’m Dreaming of Photographing

Moving from Colorado to Pennsylvania has completely shifted how I see wedding venues—and I’m honestly so excited about it.
My name is Arlee, I am a Southeastern PA Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer. Whether you’re getting married, living the everyday, or caring for the people you love, my goal is to create art that feels like you!!
Anyway... wedding venues near Philadelphia.
Colorado weddings have a very distinct vibe: ski lodges, rustic barns, mountain camps… you know the look. Pennsylvania, though, feels entirely different. More East Coast. More historic. Maybe even a little more elevated (or maybe that’s just me romanticizing it).
Here, you’ll find grand estates, historic properties, family land passed down for generations, and manors filled with intricate architectural details. The charm, the history, the layers—there is just so much to work with.
So I thought I’d compile a list of six wedding venues near Philadelphia that I would absolutely love to photograph someday.
All photographers are credited beneath the images.
More "Backyard" Weddings
When I was choosing my own wedding venue, I wanted a place that truly meant something to me. We ended up turning my in-laws’ beach house into our wedding venue. It was a ton of work—but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

One of my favorite things about the East Coast is how many family properties hold real history. I’m photographing a wedding this spring on the groom’s parents’ property that has been in their family for over 100 years… how cool is that?!
I would absolutely love to photograph more “backyard” weddings on property that’s deeply meaningful to the couple. The possibilities are endless, the day feels incredibly personal, and that emotional connection always translates so beautifully in photographs.

Honestly? Every photographer and their mom wants to photograph a wedding at Elkins Estate—and for good reason. The architecture is unreal. Every inch of this place is stunning, both inside and out.
I’m especially obsessed with the palm wallpaper in the reception room. You could lean into a color palette of honey gold, a soft blue, off-white, and earthy greens and create the most timeless, romantic design.
Between the ceremony locations, cocktail hour spaces, and portrait options, the possibilities here feel endless. Elkins truly speaks for itself—but it also allows couples to make the space completely their own.
Hope Helmuth Photography photographed both of the above images- absolutely stunning!

I recently discovered Westwynd Gardens thanks to my friends at Waverly Flower Co. They were visiting the venue and shared it on their Instagram stories—and I immediately stopped scrolling.
The glass room is stunning on its own, but wow… you could do so much with this space. Guests can face the pond during the ceremony, overlooking the property, which feels incredibly serene.
No matter the season, this venue feels magical. The reception space filled with windows is absolutely beautiful and would photograph like a dream.

This one’s technically just outside of Philadelphia in New Jersey—but it had to be included.
Park Chateau is massive, elegant, and even has its own chapel (which I find so charming). Inside, the bar area features checkered floors and rich mocha-brown walls—cocktail hour here would be everything.

I’m aiming big with this one—but photographing a wedding at the Four Seasons Philadelphia is on my bucket list.
The rooftop. The restaurant. The iconic Four Seasons style. Imagine a spring wedding with everything in bloom, a sunset ceremony overlooking the city, and dinner as the skyline lights up around you. It would be effortlessly romantic and incredibly timeless.
I wasn’t able to find an image with a photographer credit, but you can view the venue directly through the Four Seasons website.
Andalusia Estate in the summertime is pure magic. The gardens are lush, romantic, and full of life—and as an added bonus, the property sits right along the Delaware River.
You could host a waterside reception beneath a flowing silk tent, surrounded by greenery and golden summer light. Like so many of the venues on this list, the creative possibilities here feel endless. A midsummer wedding at Andalusia would be an absolute dream to photograph.

Whether you’re planning a wedding at one of these venues or somewhere completely unexpected, what excites me most is photographing spaces that feel intentional, meaningful, and layered with history. These venues are all places where stories live—and that’s always where the most beautiful images are made. If one of these locations is part of your wedding vision (or you’re dreaming up something just as special), I’d love to capture it.
I am so excited to get my feet on the ground as a Southeastern Pennsylvania Photographer and who knows, maybe I will get to photograph at some of these venues in the next few years!
