The Ohlin's Pink Rehearsal Dinner

Cory and Jenna invited me to photograph their intimate rehearsal evening with about forty of their closest people. This night held deep meaning for them—Jenna’s mother had passed from cancer, and they wanted her presence to be felt throughout their wedding weekend even though she couldn’t physically be there. To honor her, they asked every guest to wear pink during the rehearsal dinner. It was the sweetest tribute to her mama.

The room that night was loud in the best possible way. Laughter echoing off the walls, heartfelt toasts, teary eyes, clinking wine glasses, and a buzz of excitement you could feel from the moment you walked in. In the middle of it all, there was this undeniable sense that Jenna’s mom was right there with them.

Looking back through these images instantly takes me back to that room—standing among their dearest friends and family on the night before they said “I do.” My hope is that these photographs will always pull Cory and Jenna back into those moments, too.

Rehearsal dinners are one of my favorite parts of a wedding weekend to photograph. They’re emotional, unscripted, and so full of anticipation. Capturing nights like this is such an honor, and I’m grateful every time a couple invites me in. Cory & Jenna's Philadelphia rehearsal dinner photography.
